A friend of mine has twin boys, aged 18. About a year or so ago they both weighed in at just under 300 pounds. They both wanted to enter the military but were too overweight. They went on a LCHF diet at that point. So far they have lost a combined 185 pounds! This while not doing much exercise. they are teens, so they sit and play video games when not in school or working. Just goes to show what LCHF can do.
If in doubt about LCHF, do yourself a favor and look up the history of the Banting diet. It was the first LCHF diet ever prescribed by a physician back in 1862. It is quite a fascinating read and just goes to show how much our dietary guidelines have been hijacked by people with a vested interest. He knew back then that carbs were the enemy. Too bad it was stifled for so long.
