I just found this site by accident. I need to develop a diet to suit my recent diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Being sedentary and often depressed, I need to find the motivation to go outside and to the pool I joined. I want to collect a group of go-to recipes that both my husband and I will like.

I am also diabetic and at Erika's suggestion a while back I checked into dietdoctor.com and it is my go to place. I would also advise checking it out and then start using this website faithfully...FS offers you support and encouragement like nothing else.

dietdoctor.com is great. The LCHF (Low Carb High Fat) diet is working for thousands of people with Type 2. You will also read about intermittent fasting and by combining both of those, Type 2 can be reversed, honestly!

Another resource for Type 2 is Dr. Jason Fung. You can go to YouTube and search for "Dr. Jason Fung Diabetes". Watch his videos and you will learn the truth. Best wishes.

I just started the Keto diet, it keeps my sugars down and there are so many low carb recipes. It seems all wrong but my first week I've dropped 2 lbs.

I love these suggestions and, to start, I am going to commit to a two-week LCHF trial diet to see what happens. I'm lucky I'm not a sugar addict, but I do love salt and crunchy things (my diet downfall). Thank you all SO much!

Notocha I'm going to try it. I thought I could start last This week but wasn't able to go shopping yet, so next week. But I'm cutting out all obvious carbs already, and what a difference it makes!
