I wanted to thank everyone for their really sweet and supportive comments. It really helps to know that I havent become a total disgrace and been shunned by FS's weight-loss community. lol
My biggest obstacle right now: I really need to find time to work out. I just got a new job :D and I love it. I was extremely lucky to land it, so I am not complaining at all. I mean, now that I am always busy, I dont eat because I am bored. I eat because, well, I'm hungry. lol
Since I stand on my feet for about 5 hours a day (the last 3 hours of my shift I can sit down) I am thinking about buying those Sketcher Shape-Ups. Does anyone out there own a pair of them? Would you recommend them?
They are kind of pricey. Thats basically the only reason I dont already own a pair. I'm pretty responsible and conservative with my money lol I HATE wasting it. :/

I do have a pair of those shoes and I LOVE them!! They are super comfortable, nice and cushy support and would probably be well worth the money if you spend that much time on your feet. I agree, they really are pricey ... I bought a pair on the internet in a weak moment!! LOL!! Of course we haven't shunned you ... are you kidding???? Been there, done that, and our hearts, thoughts, prayers, and loving support go out to you!!!

Do the shoes really work? Do you feel like they've made your legs more defined, or your posture better?
I do tend to put more weight on my heels and balance backwards (at least according to the Wii), so I was wondering if they would help me. But they are an investment!

hahaha The only reason I thought I would be shunned was because so many 'haters' love to see the successors fall from grace. I dont get that feeling from FS though. Not at all. I am going to look into those shoes a little more then. I've been afraid to even go to the mall and try on a pair because if i like them i will not leave without them lol

I have no idea if the shoes really work but they are incredibly comfortable and make me feel like I'm "floating" and "bouncing" when I walk! I wore them during my shopping expedition yesterday and never felt weary ... but maybe that was the adrenaline rush of finding such good deals!!! I guarantee you if you go try them on you will come home with them!!! LOL!!

i have been thinking about those shoes too because i have bad posture and its affecting my back pretty badly plus i have crappy weak ankles. i wish i had the money for a pair they were on sale at my work over xmas but they were still expensive :( x

I saw a pair like them at Wally-world today. They are made by Danskin and are only $25 if you wanted to try out a less expensive version...
