I have decided that all I want to do is 6 miles a day (at the park). I have 40 more lbs to lose well 50 so I can have a buffer of 10 lbs then I am in maintain mode. I say that now with that 50 more lbs to go and I hope I stick to it. At 240 I will have lost 167 lbs total. I know people lose more but that's all I want to lose. Actually I would like to end the weight loss on an even number but that's just because I'm crazy lol. I am making a promise to myself now. I will walk at least 6 miles in the park.
I tried something different today on my walk. I tried to really race walk today. I was sweating a lot. I try to raise my heart rate to where it needs to be to actually burn fat (or so I read). I was able to keep it up for 3 miles. I do a 14 and a half minute mile when I do that. Average speed of 4.1 mph. Now I am loving that. Those are numbers I can live with. I will do that during the weekdays. On the weekends I will walk at a normal pace.
