I am stuck in a rut. I am very happy and excited that I lost almost 10 pounds but that's where it stops. Since 10 pounds I haven't lost anything else. I keep exercising and eating healthy but nothing seems to push me past the 10 pounds mark. I really want to lose another 10 pounds by December 16th....which gives me exactly a month. Any tips to kicking my weight loss rut to get it going again? HELP!!!!

Looking at your diet calender I cant figure out why you would not be loosing weight pretty darn steadily as you are hardly eating anything. The only thing I can say is DON'T skip ANY meals like you have been doing! At your intake level you will definitely through your body into starvation mode. I'm not one of those "have to eat 1200 cal per day at a min." believers either...and I do know from past facts with myself that I need to be below that level to loos appreciably myself, so I'm not at all saying your not eating enough. All I'm saying is you might be running your tank out of fuel to often...You cant expect the body to shift from 4th gear into park on the fly. Give it enough energy to coast along long enough between meals...passing up the fuel station will leave you stalled out on the edge of the road "WAITING"...for things to happen and wishing to get jump started again. Eat more fat and toss out the chocolate Special K and pop corn . Yes I know I ate Pop Corn today...so might sound like a hipocrit...LOL..But its my wife's Birthday..no cake or ice cream for me though either..;)

I'll say it. You are not consuming enough calories. A 5 foot tall, 100 pound female leading a sedentary lifestyle needs over 1200 calories per day to maintain 100 pounds(depending on the rdi calculator). I have no idea what your stats are, but with your average daily calorie intake of 809kcal last month and 676kcal this month (taken from your diet calandar) I'd say your into starvation mode. My tip? Pick your ideal body weight and use an RDI calculator to determine how many calories you'll need to consume to maintain that weight. Then consume that many calories per day until you come out of starvation mode. You'll initially gain a few pounds until your body realizes that it's not dying from starvation. Then eat a minimum of 1200 calories per day. Probably more depending on your stats.
