F8thful1's Journal, 11 November 2011

Hooray! Today I weigh what my driver's license says I weigh! Lets see....that has been about 12 years since I actually weighed 185. That makes a 37 pound loss. Kind of sad, on my old scale I would have dropped into the 170's today (funny how we love to put so much importance on these numbers).

My next mini-goal is to reach 40 pounds lost, then to drop into the 170's.

Slow but steady, feeling good and really not worrying as much about how long this will take me. Days will go by one way or another, and I am focusing on the other important things in life (along with my commitment to eat healthy and take care of myself).

Blessings on your journey, where ever you are.

That's a great achievement to actually weigh what an ID says you weigh. I've always been fearful that some day, the DMV, and the airlines, will have an inconspicuous scale right in front of their counter, so when you go there and stand at the counter, the scale will automatically give the clerks your true weight, no matter how much we might protest!! Glad that hasn't happened - yet! LOL!

Sandy.....yes, what a horror! One time my son took me on a helicopter ride over Mount St. Helens and I spent the whole time worried that I was too heavy for the ride. I didn't want to lean over too far looking out the window. Glad those days are over!
