I have changed things up a bit. As you know, I have been in a stall, but I was not convinced that it had to be this way. I was not FEELING the weight loss process going on in my body; you know, that 'lighter' feeling that you get at the end of the day when you have expended more energy than you have consumed. I read, read, and read.....and saw lots of wise counsel. And I tried a few things, but I have decided to go back to what I know makes me feel healthy.

I have added back in some healthy carbs; steel cut oats for one, a bit more low-sugar fruit, and a few more healthy grains. I realize this likely moves me out of ketosis, but already I feel better (after three days). To compensate for the addition of these items, I have cut down some of the fats in order to keep my calories down to around 1200.

I have already started to lose again, and I feel better. My digestion is working....that was a huge issue. However, I am NOT adding sugar back into my WOE. I would call this LowER carb, low calorie and low glycemic.

This is working for you and healthy. I think if you stay away from sugar and refined carbs you're fine.

Hi Gigi.....yes, that is really the secret for sugar junkies like me! The difference this time is that I have learned how to cook without sugar, and still have some yummy treats from time to time. That REALLY has helped me realize I CAN do this for longterm.

We sure can do this. It may take us a little longer, but we are sticking to a plan. That's what counts.
