i'm back.. to tell you the truth with all the stuff that has been going on at home.. i have been eating everything in sight since tuesday.. i know i'm doing so bad, but i do plan to get back on track soon.. its just that i've been going through alot lately and i havent been home dealing with all these family problems.. i know its an excuse but crap happens in life and hopefully things get better soon

i have been trying a different strategy to changing my eat habits. I dont want to call it a diet because I will mentally accept that as a temportary act and that is not what i want this to be. once i reach my goal i would like to feel like the changes i have made werent a strain and that i could continue to do it and even do more to improve it. I have been trying Dr John Douillards 3 season diet. I read the book a week ago and have been incorportating his strategies to maintaing a well balance life sytle as far as my weight, eating habits, and foods pretty well. The main thing that i had a problem with was my cravings and snacking. Undder the 3-season diet i havent had a cravnig to sncak in alomost two weeks. Including the weekends. The primus behind this diet is to eat foods within the current season, that the good doctor has made available for me in the book. He thne suggested that I tailor my meals for certain times of the day to reduce my cravingfs. I have been eat a light healthy meal in the moring like oatmeal, wheat toast witha healthy spread and watewr or juice with a little water in it.,ostly water becasue of the sugar contents. That holds me unitl lunch. Now here is the kicker and i was like i am going to be straving if i do this but like i told my girlfrined the other day i will try anything to see if it works. It si suggested that during the hours of 10am to 2pm our digetsive systems are the strongest. and this was the time were i woud have had a light lunch like a salad or samll healthy sandwhcih from subway or something. I would be hunhry by 3-4 o'clock. I could not wait to get home and eat something. but now i have been taking my time and eating a "BIG MID DAY MEAL" during my lunch break. I have been eating things like salomon with a salad, and turkey sandwhich, vegtables that are in season such as cabbage, spinach, and string beans, brown rice. Or bone less chicken with similar sides. Whatever i eat it is a feast made for the king i am. I then lay on my left side becasue this speeds up my digestive system for 15 minutes. I thiught i would fall alseep but i haven't yet. Once my 15 minutes is upI take a lesiuely to brisk walk that last about 10 miuntes. for the rest of the day i have had energy and the stamina to do my other activities. I thought i would have sugar cravinngs but i havent. I thou7ght i would be hungry by eight o'clock but i havent been because my MIDDAY MEAL was been big and healthy and keeping me satisfies all day. there was a time on saturday when my mid day meal wasnt as big as before and i craved something to eat. Big i wasnt starving for a huge meal. All i ate was some soup and a salad with water as my drink. I was fine. though out my day i fill up with water so that i meet my water requiremnt for the day. I drink about eight once a hour and i dont feel any craving for food or snacks. I havent felt strined like i have to meet a certainn requriment becasue i have either met them from my mid day meal or will meet it during my light dinner. The thing for me is that i am not hungry at night. There were times when i stayed up well past my bed time and I still didnt feel hungry.My activity levels have been pretty consistent also. I play basketball two day a week for a couple hours and I also have benn swimming three days a week. I put in work on my ab lounger as well three to four days a week for about 15 minutes. I have been get my rest and been feeling great.To top it all off i lost seven pounds. My grilfrind mentioned to me the other day that she has noyticed a physical change in me. I told her about the diet but she has been showing me some resistance. She has changed some of her eating habits and that has been good, but she hasn't done anything with her phyysical activity. and i always believe that any change i make must be accompanied by exercise.Today i ate a foot long snadwhich from subway filled with lettuce, tomatoes, oinoins, green peppers, yellow peppers, and alitle oild and vinger over some chickene , ai had spinach, cabbage, green beans, and salmon and i ate it slow and took my time cheming it to enjoy the flaove and food that i prpepared. I was delicoius. I had a dessert which was one and half oatemal cookies and rank some water. during my tghree hour swimmming seesion i drak 16 ounces of water. It is 10 pm as i make this log and i have no desire for food. As long as I stay consistent and presistent to change my eating habits through the 3 seson diet i will reshape my body the way i want, lose weight, take inches off my wasit, and feel great about myself becasue i have more enegry to do my work and other activities during my day. The 3 season iet is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont beat yourself up. If you have gained weight you know you can loose it. Just pick a day and start again. You cant be perfect, you can only do your best with what life throws at you. keep the faith

Since I have not been able to stick to a diet for awhile. I am doing this diet with the book The Beck Diet Solution works with any diet. This might help get back on track. You have been doing so well. Be proud of all your hard work. And start from here.
