D4NIELLE's Journal, 31 March 2016

I binged a little last night. Couldn't seem to satisfy my hunger. Does this happen to anyone else? Though I didn't binge on unhealthy food, I'm still worried about stepping on the scale today. :(

Binging is my number one problem. You don't have to step on the scale. Chances are anything you gained is water weight, so why punish yourself with the scale? If you think about it, unless you ate 3500 extra calories, I doubt you gained any actual fat. Be kind to yourself. This is a long process and you will have these moments over the course of time. But you aren't throwing in the towel, so you just get back on the horse and on your program and forget about last night. The only other thing I would suggest is perhaps to journal when you feel like that...maybe some feelings you aren't in touch with will come to the surface, which may be the underlying reasons for wanting to eat.

@ny_shelly: That's not a bad idea about journaling. I did weigh myself but didn't gain or lose so I will take it. :)

It's only a hiccup. You realised what you were doing and then kept the binging healthy eating. As for getting on the scales - I dont have them anymore because I would get on them several times a day. Two years ago I measured my weight loss in dress size 22 down to 16. No stressy weigh ins for me. I know this might not work for everyone. You should tell yourself how well you are doing to keep going despite a little tiny hiccup. B

@MrsMaths: I don't plan to let it deter me. From my start point, I am down in weight. I'm not going to complain. (Not yet at least LOL)
