I would just focus on LCHF, but keep one eyeball on the more calorific items you're allowed. I have just started LCHF myself, but I really don't think for a second I can eat my bodyweight in almond butter, which I could as it's friggin' amazing, and lose weight still. For me it's more a clear set of rules that stops me eating foods I would go overboard on and were full of sugar, and pushing me towards a healthier lifestyle. Since starting LCHF I have eaten vegetables I didnt even know existed...

I usually do weigh multiple times a day and I'll take the lowest... I think I'm gonna cut coffee out. like I know I'm not doing this perfect... but i need to tweak what I can tolerate and I needed to understand. .. I can't follow things I don't understand or believe. .. I'll try a few things different and stick with it for now.

I'd suggest just weighing first thing in the morning before breakfast. You'll be all over the map with fluid and food intake through the day. I tried about 5 different things before I settled in where I am. When I go to cut my last 10 pounds or so, I'll likely go lchf. That's the simplest way to ensure the protein target I have. On maintenance, I watch my protein intake for grams and carbs and fats can go where they want. That allows me a lot of variety. You're doing fine. It's your chemistry set.

Hunter we are all rooting for you.....patty gives you some good advise about rule me/guide...please go an check it out and study it not just a quickie...Miracle that you lost at all if you see your food log. way to many carbs eaten and Calories....if you ever can get into keto you will not need all those kcal...i eat less than 1000 each day now...never hungry. Carbs not your friend..more important to cut carbs than to worry about your kcals at first...i know you are stress...and we all love you...maybe you should just step back some and take a couple deep breaths of fresh air and start again....if you change your diet to only counting Calories you will be hungry all the time. you are on the right track keto but you are not doing it correctly. study what to eat....don't just eat some thing...study how to do it...study and study...never stop...i don't. this will be your life style...your last diet you will ever need. still confused ask for help...start asking questions. we are here for you.

Fred, we adore you here, but that's not fair to say to Hunter. She has lost 29 pounds in 2.5 months! She did that doing keto, just as you have. She has kept her NET carbs quite low for quite some time. Her caloric and nutritional needs as a busy mom of 3 kids in her 20s may not be the same as the needs of a man in his 70s. (And she could always potentially be pregnant again.) She has studied, planned, and executed this WOE for months, even preparing many meals in advance and providing one set of meals for her family and a different set of meals for herself. Even now that she's had a little run of higher calorie days, after having severely restricted her calories for months, she has kept her net carbs pretty low. Hunter knows how to do keto, and she has inspired many people here, just as you have. It's not a miracle that she lost weight at all this week or any other week. It's a direct result of her choices and efforts. If Hunter feels a need to change things up now, that's fine--and what many people have to do throughout the course of their weight loss. Sometimes, it's through questioning and testing that we end up recommitting to what was best for us. I wish you *both* continued success, health, and happiness with whatever eating plans work for you individually!

Fred my dear.... if you look at my net carbs they are usually under 20g. and have been for over two months. I have done the morning fasting... I have done the coffee.... I'm just guessing that you do not have a menstrual cycle... if you did you would understand the almost consuming need to bath in chocolate. .. yes my calories spiked and my mood was/is less than favorable.... it was reading that made me question some things... but ill stay on track so long as I see losses... and today i weighed in and I have lost 30.9 pounds through work.. I have been lifting weights, going for walks, riding my bike, wearing leg weights, holding an almost 30 pound toddler while doing exercise... I have pre made 20 emergency meals... I have avoided eating all the crap my husband and kids want and bring home......so to say it's a miracle is a crap thing to say..... every damn day I cook food that I can't eat.... can you say that??? can you say that you can have these foods in your hand and still you don't take a bite or lick the spoon?? I CAN SAY THAT! it is no miracle I lost 30 pounds.... it has been my stubborn pissy attitude that has kept me going and when I feel weak there are some great people here to help me out (kpwcalories thank you for everything you do for me) .... so sure I haven't been very strict the last few days... I can make up for it. I have fought and worked for everything I have .. I may slip up time and again but I can't think of a time I failed at getting what I want..... so really thank you. thank you for devaluing all the work I have done so far... anger has always been my best fuel.
