Since I started Metformin two weeks ago and started a diet of 1400 calories a day and five sugars or less per meal I've been feeling much better. I've lost 16 pounds already! I guess the doctor wasn't kidding when he said my body doesn't know how to process sugar!

Thank you for your journal. I think I might be experiencing the same thing. Nothing else has seemed to work, so I am making a Dr. appt. to find out.

I hope it goes well for you! I've been struggling with this since I was a child so it's amazing to see how well I'm progressing. If in the meantime while you wait to go to the doctor you want to try some recipes and things I've made, low calorie, low carb, low sugar, I would be more than happy to share. 😄 I'm glad my journal could help you out
