Hi friends (or my future thin self), the journey is going well, about two pounds per week. Here is what I have learned: keep the sodium in moderation (watch sauces, hard cheeses, processed meats). Keep most meats and veggies fresh, and the bloated feeling does not happen. Keep the Magnesium going, as it helps with digestion. Keep sugar alcohols to a minimum too. In short, whole foods are best. Oh, and keep going to the gym as that is key.

I have changed my goal weight. Why? I never wanted to make my goal 'unachieveable', so I kept it higher than I really wanted. Now I am willing to say, "yes, I need to lose 28 more pounds', and I don't feel like that is not realistic. While I have always told myself that I had a large build (and I do have wide feet, wrists and good sized bones), I am only 5'5" and 158 is at the high end of the 'normal' range. I think that is suitable, although I have not been in the 150's since......um....high school? Maybe once as an adult but not in a healthy manner.

I am hoping to reach goal by April of 2016, but I know life brings twists and turns. For now, I am enjoying being on track, losing about 1-2 pounds per week, and not being mastered by sugar cravings. That is the biggest blessing!

Blessings all on your journey!
