Such great news Erika. Isn't it nice to see our test results moving in the right direction? Congratulations!

I got my blood drawn on 9/5 at my yearly wellness visit. My total cholesterol was 219, triglycerides 69, HDL 32, LDL 175. According to Dr. Ken Berry those numbers are fantastic. My A1C was 5.2 and resting glucose was 82, but I've never had issues with my blood sugar being high. I would like to get my A1C down to 4.9, but Dr. Berry says that's difficult even on Carnivore. But like you, I'm moving in the right direction! Great blood work, Erika!

My progress has been so slow, with a lot of roller-coaster ups and downs, but there is no doubt that I'm getting steadily healthier as I age. It's a life-long commitment to doing the best I can to take care of myself. Now to do some strength training and more consistent activity.

No, Deb, I live 200 mi. inland, so we just got some gusty winds. Out summer weather has passed and we're getting some glorious dry, crystal clear days topping out at 70.

We are getting some cool weather too, of course it brings rain and all of our rivers are above flood level, but we would have to have rain of biblical proportions to flood us, our city is the highest elevation in the county and we live on top of the hill. It would have to rain for 40 days and 40 nights and even then it might not get up to the house. We do however, get a lot of wind, except for the months of June, July, August and September, then there is not a leaf stirring for miles. When Tropical storm Idalia came through here, it was a welcome relief from the sweltering heat and we hadn't had rain in weeks, we needed it. Tomorrow it will be 58 in the morning...YAY!!!! Highs will still be in the 80's but that beats 99 and 99% humidity.
