Day 6 - I'm still going 😜 132 hours fasted. I skipped my electrolytes yesterday because I got tied up with a dog issue and was running late, so I just grabbed my water jug and ran out the door. I can feel the difference, I'm a bit sluggish this morning with a very slight headache. Note to self, don't skip the electrolytes! Other than that I feel pretty good, eyes popped open at 5:15 same as yesterday. My work alarm for Saturdays is 5:30 because I work in the morning rather than the afternoon on Saturday. I had coffee in my hand when my alarm went off! LOL. I also don't do my fasted workouts on Saturday morning, not enough time. It's amazing how quickly you can slip into a routine. My morning stuff is short, 10 minute dumbell workout on my shoulders....I'm up to 5lb weights now the 2s got too easy. I can feel my bicep under my skin, it's getting a hump in the middle instead of being smooth and flacid. Improvement! Yoga has moved up to 27 minutes! I can get up off the floor now with the assistance of a chair, again improvement! Bike ride will increase to 25 minutes on Sunday. I've been averaging 7 miles in 20 minutes. I usually take a 20 minute walk with the dogs, but not on Saturday, I may increase that next week, but I have a 14 year old chihuahua that has congestive heart failure who gets winded and coughing after the 20 minutes. I may have to make her stay home if I extend the walk. All in all, I feel pretty great for not having eaten anything for 6 days. I'm not dead, not suffering, not weak and best of all not hungry. I am looking forward to my next meal, I have gotten all kinds of great ideas for my upcoming 4 days of eating from you guys. I go shopping today and I have my list ready 😁 You guys have a fast-astic day!

Thanks Morticia! I feel great now, got my electrolytes in, groceries put away, having a lovely thunder storm right now. Baked hubby a Stromboli he grabbed and the grocery store and he ate it and is now snoozing. Good food smells in the house right now and I think that because I'm planning to break my fast in the morning....my hunger is waking up, I have had a few growls in the past hour, maybe this time I will get to experience real hunger and get to know it a bit better. The growls in days 1-3 were just meal time habit growls, they quit after day 3, they are not true hunger. I have always been heavy, I don't think I have ever felt true hunger, with all the thousands of calories I have stored in my body right now, I don't believe I ever will. I would have to be down to less than 10% body fat to feel true hunger or experience starvation. Right now I am eating my own fat....using my fat for fuel. That is what it is there for, to be used when food is scarce. Well food is scarce deliberately right now. And I am feeling great!

@ LadyD, this pack that lives with me want to go EVERYWHERE we go. I go to pee and I have a whole pack either sitting at my feet or wandering in and out the door they pushed open, or laying in the hall waiting for me to come out. LOLOLOL I adore them. Each one is a rescue adopted either from a shelter or from a previous owner who could not longer care for them. Iris's owner died of a heart attack in 2016 and she attacked the paramedics who came to collect his body. The Landlord who discovered the body was going to take her to the pound and I asked her to bring that poor grieving baby to me and they threw a blanket over her and bundled her up and brought her to the Post Office, they turned lose of the blanket and RAN! I scooped that short, fat ChiWeenie up and snuggled her into my neck and she just whimpered and shook. The Landlord looked at me all crazy like and said. "What ARE you?" I laughed at her and said. A person with empathy and compassion for her pain and confusion, she can smell it in my pheromones and it creates an instant bond of trust. She is my heart, my shadow and her head lays on the pillow next to mine every night. I'm so glad I did not let her go to the pound, she would have been euthanized for certain because she is aggressive to all other humans and dogs. It takes a long time for her to accept new members of the pack.

Debra you have such a kind heart. I and my family are all huge animal lovers. Have you thought about pushing a stroller of sorts? We have folks in our neighborhood that do that for their blind dog and another for her elderly little dog when she gets tired.

Ooh, no way would I fast for a month. I like eating too much! Also, I like to think I'm "stocking up" on micronutrients, salts, and minerals during my refeeds. Deb, I'm with you. No true hunger yet. I also look forward to break fasts and become eager the night before! It sounds like you are well stocked for some really good eating this week! I am planning to settle in to a 72h weekly fast (truly 84h) and one 7 day fast monthly, but I will be off schedule from you. I will be eating when you are fasting and vice versa! Maybe we can line up our monthlies. I am flexible with those ☺️

Thanks YOH, I have three small dogs and two huge dogs. The three Chi's all have some sort of issue either health or attitude (Iris - snarling sharp toothed ball of fat with 3 inch legs) The puppy we just adopted is a 55 lb Anatolian Shepard/Great Pyrenees mix, highly energetic and strong enough to pull me to the ground if I'm not alert. Chase, my only boy dog is a huge full blooded German Shepard, weighs about 80 pounds he's 8 years old, he was sent to me from Texas by my 77 year old Aunt, she had him since he was 7 weeks old, but she could not take care of him anymore, we bonded with him when we went to Texas to bury my Mom. Her granddaughter drove all the way from Texas to bring him to us because she wanted him to have a big farm to play in and other dogs to be around. Getting them on leash and all of us walking together was a workout all by it's self but everyone is adjusted and acting right now. I don't think I could push a stroller and handle the big dogs all at the same time....well not yet anyway. @LadyD I don't think I would do it for a month either, I was referring to my current RDI and the 84 hour fast and eating veggies...for a couple of months AND adding a 5-7 day fast one week out of the month. I love my food and while I can temporarily abstain for a week or 10 days. I want my food 🥩😈 When we are off schedule I can torture you with my eats and you can return the favor and we can both go to Drags post and drool over his LOLOLOL It will work out somehow, the longer one we can probably synch

Suggestion: harness the big dogs like horses and attach them to a cart (just kidding). What part of the country are you guys in? A farm sounds lovely.

Justbananas said someone on here fasted 30 days and lost their hair, and I was sort of responding to that. Yes, we can both pine over Draglist's meals!

@TJ, I drink 2 12 oz mugs of black coffee in the morning with a pinch of sea salt in them, cuts the bitterness. I drink 2 - 64 ounce jugs of water, one with a homemade electrolyte mix in it, I don't drink any fluids at all from 7 pm till I get up in the morning, that gives me a fairly good uninterrupted nights sleep.

Debra what’s in your homemade electrolyte mix?

Oh! JB, I didn't see your post up there, LOL, due to the fact that I am doing low-carb- High Fat on my eating day, my hair and nails are growing like mad, my hair almost reaches the top of my butt, it's not going anywhere. I can't digest multivitamins so on my eating days I drink AG1 Green drink. Has lots of vitamins and minerals and pre & pro biotics that enhance my micro-biome in an easy to digest and very bio-avalable form. As to the dog carrying thing, LOL I'm holding two very large dogs and three small dogs on leashes to keep them from chasing wild critters into the woods, it takes both hands and ALL of my attention 🤣

@YOH, when you mentioned that I actually pictured harnessing the big dogs to the stroller and me hanging onto the handle being dragged into the woods while they chase deer and wild turkey. I live in Stillmore, Ga, a tiny little town with one flashing light and about 500 full time residents and 200-300 transient folks who come to work at the Crider Chicken Plant which is the largest employer in the area. I am the only employee that works at the Post Office.

ok, just so you can picture this, I have two heavy duty retractable leashes that will extend to 15 feet, one is snapped onto each large dog. The girls all have 3 foot leather shoulder purse straps with (You know the ones, that have a small clip on each end so you can make your purse hang across your body or shoulder) I clip them onto the big dogs leashes so they can speed up or slow down. Iris and Baby Girl are with Chase because he has an easy pace and does not go zooming off to the left or right much. Missy is the Big white 55 lb puppy and I snap Bella on with her. Bella is part Rat Terrier and Chihuahua so she has longer legs...actually she looks like a baby deer, Bella can keep up with Missy's sudden changes of direction. Missy is a puppy and must go here, and over there.....and what's that there?? Anyways that is how we walk, big dogs out in front, the smaller ones usually stay pretty close to me. I could get one of those baby slings you wear across your body and put Baby Girl in that when she poops out.

I had one of those baby slings when my little black guy was a baby. The hammock kind. Worked great till he got bigger than anyone expected. Long legs. Also he hated being carried he wants to run everywhere. My daughter is in acworth, Georgia this week for her sisters wedding (diff mom) is that near you? Been there only once and i told my girl if i ever became single i would move to Georgia. Pretty people, nice people, and pretty pretty men everywhere that were so flirtatious a girl could faint🤪

Yes, it's that southern charm, they will yes ma'am you right into misbehaving!!! But Acworth is West of Atlanta, I'm on the east side of the state, we are 70 miles west of Savannah, we live about five miles off if I-16 between Savannah and Macon

Debra im telling you i could have swooned. Hadn’t had that much attention since i was in my 40’s. Made me feel so feminine and pretty. Sigh…probably makes sense her dad lives there now. He was my very first 💕 love. Tho he doesn’t have the charm that i was getting from strangers if im being honest. He was just pretty.

Seriously TJ, getting to the third day is the key, after 3 days, there is no will power to it, there is no hunger for me, of course I'm technically 149 pounds over weight right this minute so I have a Noah's Ark of stored energy. TJ, when I'm not eating, I am literally eating my own fat, my body is self sustained. No hunger because my body is fed. I understand it's hard to wrap your head around but I went into a grocery store the smells of Rotisserie chicken, french bread and garlic rolls cooking. It affected me 0.

So question, how is your body not getting vital nutrients from your vital organs? Is it not going into starvation mode? That seems like such a long time without nutrition. Can you mansplain to me (but im a girl just sayin).
