fratangelodenise98's Journal, 26 April 2022

Once again I start over. I lose a couple pounds and find myself over eating not recording anything. This honestly has been going on for many months soon I will have an extra 20 lbs. which I already have put on because of this behavior. My plan is to record, be accountable and try to only weigh myself once a month. Thanks for listening have a good day

I just got out of my slump. It just takes one or two days of really logging you’ll be back on track. Don’t be yourself up! This is a crazy journey! That’s very hard!

I just logged in over 1,700 calories and then I expect to actually see a loss on the scale tomorrow morning - I must be living in GAGA land again. 🌞💙🌷

I feel for you. Don’t beat yourself up over a little slip. One tactic that works for me is to weigh every single morning, no excuses. Rather than set large goals like 20 pounds, set small goals, like half a pound. Once you dropped half a pound, set your goal at another half, and so forth. It helps with positive reinforcement of your incremental progress. Don’t stop! Keep going! This is a marathon not a sprint.

Good luck and don’t give up. The trick for me was weighing daily and tracking food daily. I learned in order to see the scale head in the right direction I have to eat 1500 calories or less. (A weight loss calculator I used said 2000 calories). I also agree with setting small goals. I reached my first goal which was to get to my pre-pregnancy weight. Now I am working on getting to my wedding weight and then my college weight. Forget high school weight - that will not happen 😜
