so. obviously today was a weird food day. everything I had planned to try and eat I ended up not having time or took a bite and it was an immediate stomach turn. things are super stressful right now and I'm super defeated emotionally. I'm trying to pick back up but it's really hard. the specialist says he can't fix my back so I'm stuck with this pain and inability to move at random times and I'm just in a dark place. at this point I. even debating if I should have kids because I can barely carry myself let alone another few pounds right on my front. I feel like everything I've ever planned for has just gone down the drain. I'm seeing a therapist and a dietitian referral was sent in by her so we shall see.

Chels21 don’t lose hope. I had to lose significant weight so that I could have some surgery a few years ago and was unable to exercise at the time. Believe it or not if you stick to your diet you will lose weight even if you are unable to exercise the way that you wish you could. Could you do some exercises sitting in a chair, perhaps upper body arm work? I believe you can be successful and am sending you kindness and a positive hug🇨🇦

If I may offer a suggestion…? I see you are a Pepsi drinker. I was, too - and I didn’t quit for weight loss (although it will certainly hinder that.) I quit all carbonated drinks because they destroy bone calcium. I wonder if it’s having an effect on your back pain. (Totally unscientific I admit.) I drink iced tea now or Gatorade on the few occasions when I want something other than water or coffee. … Just a thought …

Thanks everyone. I'm trying not to focus on the negative things raving through my mind. I've definitely slowed down on the Pepsi since is giving me some Grief in other areas too. So I've switched to juice or flavoured water. I'm walking (since it's not -40 celsius here anymore) and trying my best to do what I can without putting myself out of commission for a week or two at a time. I go for my MRI this weekend to see if it's worsened since the last one.

It sounds like you are strong and you will get through this. Stay your course, one day at a time. Better days will be ahead. You can do this.
