Good news of the day: I'm wearing a dress that I haven't worn in a year which means things are getting back to normal finally.
Noticing the belly bloat is starting to go away. In a way I wish I knew the culprit but quitting gluten, dairy, sugar, caffeine, grain, legumes and so on all at once, I have no idea what made my stomach distend as much as it was. That's okay though... no matter what caused the problem, it's my goal to keep it all out of my life for good. Maybe I'll do some measurements tonight to see what my progress is so far.
So far today: 26 sprints up and down the stairs (sans heels... just because I can). Feels good to run the stairs... my knees welcome the exercise!

Wow, I thought we all agreed to support each other on this site. Thank you, Instantcrazy, for taking that action. SkellyShelly, it is tricky when you take away too many things all at once. I guess if you really want to know, you'll try another experiment doing them one at a time. Great job, though, getting back into that dress!

Mind Yo Own Biznezz you should take your own advice. Why be on a site like this with that kind of an attitude? Shelley great news on the dress, congrats!

Wow, I don't normally comment on updates like these-I just read them for inspiration, but Mind Yo Own Bizness kind of sucks and I don't want that to be what you dwell on. So, congrats SkellyShelly!!!! You are doing great and I personally am impressed by the stair sprints. My stair sprints are most like stair slogs, but I'm getting there. Thanks for the morning inspiration!

Thanks for the kind words and support (this is NOT for mind yo own bizness). The positivity that I'm feeling and the progress that I am making is LARGELY due to the support and inspiration that we find here on FS.

Hey Lo_Mac, I just joined that challenge! Let's do it! (omg, I hate squats, too, but my knees will appreciate it in the end!)

Are squats good for your knees? I definitely need to strengthen mine.

Squats are more to benefit the butt and thighs but my knees always ache the most when I'm done with the squats. I figure it's a win-win-win.

Great, let's do it! I have done it before and I have to say, it is such a simple way to see some results and get more tone. Also, it helps make leg day at the gym way more bare able when your quads aren't on fire! :)

Well my butt and thighs need work too, so maybe I will give it a try. Salt no stairs in my house. Thanks!

You can help your knees by trying your best to keep your weight behind them, whih means you are working your quads and glutes more anyway. When it strats to get hard we naturally try to cheat ourselves by adjusting our weight disbursement. So, when doing squats, we tend to lean over our knees more, putting a greater strain on them. Good luck everyone!

Thank you Pastor Jedi Ninja. I will try your techniques and hopefully save my knees in the process. Let's make these squats happen!
