Tuesday 1;45 pm,Good day soo far.I'm still having trouble getting all my calories in. It's soo much easier to get my carbs right.I can only eat so much butter, olive oil, and ground beef.I had rather have lean turkey, lean ham, lean pork and fish.I love my salads and add full fat dressings.I will keep on working on it,till I get it right.
On a high point, the 2 lbs I was up yesterday was down this morning.I knew it was the almonds.I put them in the bottom of the freezer for now.
I had to work the election today and it was soooo EASY to PASS OVER THE DONUTS.Just had black coffee and water.WHOOORAHHHH

Haven't been to gym this week so I will have to really hit it tomorrow. Its still tooo cold to take a walk outside.

You can follow Atkins eating turkey, lean ham, lean pork and fish. As a matter of fact, vegans can also follow Atkins successfully. If you can, go to Atkins.com and follow the links to Learn Atkins. Or read the new book.

I have read the new book and go back to it alot. Its just learning to eat the higher fat foods. TOOOO many years of low fat,low calories starvation diets.....Never again..... This new lifestyle just takes getting used to. Thanks for taking the time to help. nonna

Nonna - I've been watching you the last few weeks, and you have come SO far! I know it takes a lot of getting used to, and I think you're doing awesome! It seems about every day there's something new to learn, and you're right - it will come in time, and you will get used to it! I'm so proud of you!! :)

YEAH, you're doing fantastic!!! Just add a little butter to the top of your hot chicken, or fish, or turkey etc... or saute in olive oil, add a few olives to your salad, or 1/4 of an avocado ... a little mayo w/ some tuna, or on a cheeseburger/lettuce sandwich ... use heavy cream for scrambled eggs, 2 oz of real cheese, ... or even trade in some of your lean cuts once in awhile for a slightly fattier cut of meat. All together... you should do fine.
