First day went well. Ate perfectly, and although didn't exercise, I worked around the house and yard all day. (Getting ready for company, and dealing with a bit of back pain.) I was pleased to note that I lost half a pound, and with a bit of exercise today and tomorrow, will push that to a whole pound. Which will leave only 21 to go!
On the other hand... my husband who is also about 20 pounds overweight... lost 1.5 pounds yesterday. I am happy for him. But couldn't help but be a bit sad for me. Why does it seem it is easier for him to lose weight than it is for me?
Oh, well, focus on the positive: on my way back to skinny me.

My husband and I did a diet together last year, he lost like 8 pounds in the first two weeks, I lost 8 total...I feel your pain, but I think it's pretty common because of the way testosterone works...our hormones make it a bit harder...once your body gets in a rhythm you'll be just fine darlin'!

Glad to hear that your first day went good, you're off to a great start. While it may be frustrating that hubby's start is larger in weight loss, 1.5 lbs in one day is mostly water loss. You can both have success at this, it's not a race or competition. The important thing is to try each day to do the best that YOU can. Best wishes to you, you will get there!
