All alone am i

Have you ever waited to be alone so you could eat? Have you ever find yourself taking a deep breath when you are alone and thinking, now what do i have in my cupboards? Have you ever eaten in the kitchen so no-one would notice? Have you ever not recorded some foods out of fear that other FS members are going to hold you accountable?

If the answer is YES to any of these questions, then you have the problem called "eating in secret disorder" The most common reason is "to avoid discussions". A lot of people eat in secret, but it is not ok! If you are on a diet and you find yourself eating in secret, you find you have a problem bigger then your waist!

If you look back at my eating lists, you can see that i write down all the chocolate i eat, and sometimes it is too much. But i have recently found myself thinking, ouch, if i eat this or that i am going to have to write it down, and i am amazed at how many FS members are reading my journal lately. I want to set a good example for all those members!
I had a discussion with myself, and i came to the conclusion: that the only way i can set the right example is to be totally honest with myself, and it should not matter how many people can see or comment on my foodlist.

IF and only IF you are true to yourself, can you start to truly change who you are!

That means if you ate something you should not have, or if you are about to eat something you shouldn't...
BE ACCOUNTABLE TO YOURSELF,
and trust me, if you have passed your own tests, there is NOTHING anybody else can throw at you, that you cannot handle!

Great journal, puhpine! I used to eat whenever I was alone, but when I was with other people I would eat less. My family eats buffet style now, and I just eat my menu plan and don't worry if anyone notices what or how much I eat. I like being in control of my foods. Food does not control me anymore!

I like to eat alone so I can remember what I ate! I notice when I have conversation during a meal, I tend to eat more so I separate the two..
