ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...

its been a couple of weeks so here is a condensed recap...

on the food front i stuck to my 5 things on the plate and only 5 bites of each...i was pleasantly full and never stuffed. we had dinners on wed and 2 on thursday and 1 on friday - the only drinking i did was at thursday nights dinner...and i had 2 drinks...that was it...other than that i did water...

on the hormone front...had all of my check ups and of course since i was feeling great - the levels came back screwed up and they have switched my meds around...not bad though - i stopped taking 2 and only picked up one...so now i am down to 3 total..i can live with this...the only draw back is that i have had a headache since i started taking it...hopefully another week and that will stop

on the exercise front...still do not have my inserts for shoes - they should be here now around the 7th of jan...so no weight bearing till then...so it is still just the yoga for now...

the the fun front...we had a great christmas and somehow i got roped into having a new years eve party at my house (now understand that i am not comfortable with people roaming around my house) so this is a big issue...as of today i am at about 10 people or so...i will stick to the 5 and 5 rule for eating and since none of these people drink it will be a alochol less new years eve...i can handle it...

since i missed the deadline for the cruise to post what i learned from last year, i thought i would post it here:

DURING 2008 - i have learned that i have more will power than i knew i had...the year started off really sour - the hubby had decided that he did not want to be married anymore (for no real reason, a lot of little things but nothing of substance) - so i learned that if i stick with reason and perserverance i can endure...also had a broken ankle at this time -

i learned a couple months later that careing and loving people that can hurt me, to do it anyway and to grow through it...i also learned that eating some veggies wont kill me (and that i might even like a couple of them) tell anyone and i will DENY it...lol...

i learned that i can be a good friend to someone and not even know that they considered me a friend or that i could help them indirectly...this was amazing to learn

i learned that being healthy is not easy and that all the years i took it for granted were wasted years...i could have been learning and doing...

i learned to research and look ahead so that i am not stumped by things when they happen...

i am learning to trust the hubby again and to trust that his feelings are what he says they are...

i have learned patience - this was difficult and
i have learned to depend on others - this was even more difficult

and looking forward to 2009 is to continue this journey and to like it...

sorry about this being so long...it is the end of the year journal...

have a very happy new year...everyone

Very inspiring... loved your insightful journal today! :) What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger..... eh? lol Not quite sure I'm on board with that myself, but I suppose. ;) I wished I could say our New Years would be a quiet one, but I am fairly sure we'll have some good friends to tide in the New Year with us, too. I am just exhausted today, but am sure I'll be chiming a new tune by tomorrow night! lol Have a wonderful time and a great New Years! :)

Thanks for your journal today. Through some of your learnings, you helped me during my rough time this year. One of the things I've learned is that we can have friends all over, even if we've never met in person. Thank you. Have a great New Year's celebration and new year!!
