Mmmm, relaxing.

So as I mentioned last night, I made a massage appointment. It was as usual, wonderful. I had some extra work done on my shin so hopefully whatever I did to it will start to heal (particularly as I've kind of been limping the last few days. It's weird to describe, it kind of hurts when I step on it but it's not that bad unless I try to jog.)

Anyway, hopefully this will help. I'm going to relax and play computer games for the rest of the night I think. I need a good mental distraction.

The scale finally budged this morning. I should point out here that I use the wii to weigh in (mainly because it keeps me from doing a lot of of extra weigh ins every time I pass a scale - having to turn on the tv and the wii and boot everything up takes time, lol.) Anyway, I noticed this morning that my bar when it tells me I'm obese is now no longer at the very top of obese, it's slowly starting to inch its way toward overweight. That's kind of encouraging since it's been at the very very top of obese for months. We'll see what happens when I actually hit overweight. Also, it really needs to stop telling me I should weigh 148 every morning. I don't think I'm even built to be that low, the 165 end goal is really where I hope I might be in TWO years as I figure once I get below 190 the pace will be glacial. I've been considering upping the end goal to like 175ish but I really think I can get to 165 (which would probably make me about a size 8) and maintain that by the time I get there - even if it is 2+ years from now. I'm aiming to be at goal weight when I walk across the stage to get my degree (which at earliest is May 2012.)

Affirmations for today:
1) Time off is necessary to recharge and keep going

2) Change your thoughts, change your habits, change your mind, change your body, change your life.

Take it easy on your leg. It sounds like shin tendonitis I got those once. I relieved it with alternating hot and cold.

Sue- could be shin splints. I used to get them all the time when I was younger and running alot. Not much helped except resting it, elevated and like Runesinger said alternate the heat and cold. You are going to be having lot's of reasons to smile when you get on that stage to get your diploma because you are going to look MAAAAAAVALOUS (as Billy Crystal would say)!!

Thanks, ladies. I'm actually going to rest tonight, I was originally planning to go jog but it turns out that I'm working tomorrow (for sweet sweet overtime pay) and my shin still is a little sore so maybe I'll let it heal. Might do some wii stuff later but that depends really.

I use the Wii fit to weigh myself for that exact same reason!! it is way to much effort to turn everything on just to weigh myself when I walk by lol your attitude is amazing, your doing all the right things keep it up!
