Back from camping. One sweats a lot, and does more exercising than normal being outdoors all day. No wonder centuries ago almost everyone was thin. (Not to mention not much junk food.) My weight went down 8 pounds since last week! Same time of day, I will do a weigh-in now. It is slightly below my weight of 232 from months ago, I am on the right track. One is less hungry outdoors too for some reason. I even had a few marshmallows - a few every night. My friends and I all got along well, three guys two girls (we're just friends). I can't imagine romance in such an environment anyway, but to each their own.

8 pounds in a week? Maybe I want to go camping!

I weighed myself a week ago. I was over 238 a bit. Now 230.8. --- I was 243 at the doctor's in May so I am on the right track. If I can lose two pounds a week by fall I will be around 210 where I want to be - just below that. When camping don't bring junk food. Your hunger should decrease and I did lots of swimming. I probably sweat more too. Camping is not for everyone, it is a lot of work - tent up, food cooking outdoors, fires to light, tiki lamps with bug oil to light - my dog wanted to go under the car and did a few times and got oil on her back. She went in the lake three days in a row but wasn't too thrilled about that. Just get outside and move. I am going to do it more in the weeks ahead. Being out in nature gets one away from the tensions of daily life. No news, no Internet, no negative news, etc.

Glad you enjoyed your camping trip...nothing like the fresh air and all the nature songs...I'm sure you doggie will get used to the water and you won't be able to keep her out..:O)

Hi Bren, Yes I heard a woodpecker hammmering away at a tree, it was close. I never heard a fox call many times at night and the morning I left, it is like an Ow -wweooo sound, like eo is another letter that is between an e and an o that doesn't exist in English. There was a rattling sound from the woods too, I think it was a rattlesnake. Huge moths out there too and more bugs and flies too. The best thing was being away from bright lights and seeing the magnificent night sky with so many more visible stars. I think the dog will get used to water if I take her every time to the lake there are areas she can go in not near the swimming.
