I am on at least well, four or five meds that can cause weight gain... and so I was doing well till the other day. I know now that I must go low carb again. I hate it, but it works. No fruit is the biggest hurdle. I can't find Breyer's low carb ice cream anymore either, I looked recently. I don't have a sweet tooth, but like many I am hooked on diet Coke or diet Dr. Pepper Cherry, etc. etc. I did this before. It is such a SLOW process. It may take me a year to get down to 200. I am near 240 now, not good. I am ditching cable TV Monday. No more television. It is an excuse not to go for a walk. Where I live now lacks a lot of sidewalk areas around me, so I don't want to go out as I have to cross a very busy road and it is a pain. There is a road in the woods behind me and I can walk it back and forth and may do that for now, I got bug spray that smells like lemons, instead of poison. I did this before, the main benefit I found was that my appetite decreased. I have to get my weight down. The arthritis I have is preventing me from working out regularly. My twin sister has lost a lot in the past four months or so, and so she must be eating very little. It is low-carb (sort of). I have been journaling and the other day was around 3000 mindless calories so I am in deep trouble with that and my metabolism-slowing meds. I read one celebrity was on just ONE of them and she is very short and gained sixty pounds. I am on four of these freaking meds, and I can't function without them. I know a lot of it is the meds, two of which also slow down the GI tract. And so hear I go... low carb here I come. My friends will get my Ramen Noodles. When Luanne visits me she can take the many boxes I have. Wish me luck - I did it before, I can do it again. Calorie counting will not work if one is on a psychotropic drug, a tranquilizer and two narcotic pills for severe back pain... I will switch back to Atkins soon. Even a pound a week loss is better than where I am now. I am 6'2" on the muscular side, but I am naturally thin, so this isn't cutting it.
