AuntRainey's Journal, 25 April 2013

127. but a solid 127 this morning. the sagging is pretty much gone. I'm recording this so I don't forget. Is this how it usually goes? I think it may be. Lose the weight - flabby (I'm talking about a small amount of sagging so I don't know if it's the same for a large amount of weight). Gain A BIT of the weight back for a week or so while working out steadily both aerobic and resistance - lose the weight and my skin is much firmer. It seems this has happened consistantly. I don't know if it's my body doing what it needs to do, or my subconscious doing it, but either way it seems to work well. so I'll try to stay here for awhile (as I usually say and rarely do) and give everything a good chance to completely firm up. Then I'll lose another pound or two and see where I'm at. Why do they keep talking as though when you get older there is no hope? If 'they' would just shut the hell up, us 'older' healthy people would stop thinking of ourselves as 'over the hill' and realize there is very little (often there is absolutely nothing) a 30 year old can do that I can't. 'They' get into our subconscious and keep telling us we're old - we can't lose weight, our skin is too old to tighten, we are too old to be fit, to complete with 'younger' people. I don't know - and don't care - about the top 5% of each age group, but for the rest of us 'average' folk - we can be on equal ground with 30 year olds. 'They' need to either shut up or learn to give a more encouraging message.
