KatieKnight's Journal, 06 August 2010

So, today was somewhat of a disappointment. When I first started this, I weighed in at 290, but I just found out that my scale needs new batteries, and told me the wrong weight. :( I weighed myself in our Gym at work, and I weigh 300 lbs, not 290. not a HUGE difference, but still enough to frustrate me.
Ahh well, more motivation I suppose.
301.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 121.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

That's a pain, but it's just a number. Great attitude, don't let it get you down :)

I agree, just a number! Also- might you have been naked in one place and clothed in another? With heavier shoes and clothes that can add weight for sure. And if it was near a workout I know I usually have a lot of water in me/a lot more water weight. Hope your at home scale starts working properly asap, but go by how things fit I think that is most important in judging because muscle vs fat

Thanks guys! I thought that might have been it too, Rumptacular, but I double checked, and my scale at home kept giving me random weights, I weighed myself three times in a row, and I lost and gained about 20 pounds ( so the scale said ) in between them. haha! kinda funny, if only it were that quick! :P

hah I knoww!!! Also, was it on a completely hard, even surface (on one solid tile, not teetering, and not on carpet? Carpet will give you screwy results too!!

Ohhh! It was on our rug in the bathroom. that could of been part of the problem. Until I buy a new one ( the one we have is super old anyway ) I'm just going to use the one at my work. Its a huge one, like the kind they use at the Doctor's office, so hopefully it will be more accurate. Plus, don't people who are larger in size fluctuate more than a person with a normal weight?
