Yay! Excited!
So, I have been participating in my job's corporate wellness program this year (This year's grand prize is an all-expense paid family trip to Disney World) Anyway, today they emailed the 3rd quarter random winners, and I was one of the winners! :) I know it's random, but it's still nice to receive some recognition for the effort I have made this year in my weightloss. The wellness committee said I would be receiving a fitness prize in the mail soon. I'm hoping it's a new pedometor since I accidentally flushed mine (long story) and haven't been able to track my steps for the last 1.5 months.
But, anyway, yay me!!

That's awesome! Do you have to lose the most weight to win the Disney trip?

The Disney trip is a random drawing, but you get entries into the drawing for each month you submit your steps, each million steps you track, and for every 10 pounds you lose. So, like for me I have 16 entries for: 10 months of stepping, 2 million steps turned in, and 40 lbs lost. (Thankfully, I don't lose an entry for gaining some back, but I'm working on getting back to 40lbs lost before the year's over!)

Even if you won at random that means you are participating. I hope the prize is great! And, I hope you win that trip!!

I wish more jobs offered something like that! Hope you win! :)

The disney trip was part of my motivation for losing weight at first, but, as I lost the weight, it became more about me, and how I wanted the change for myself, not just to win something. That spoke volumes to me! Just hoping I can keep this up. I've hit some bumps in the road, but I'm not giving up!! :)
