DAY 68!

Well, 68 more days until my 46th birthday. I want the next 45 years of my life to simply be healthier. I have adopted a pretty strong pattern of behavior these last few days which has been successful and surprisingly easy. I am completely convinced I have stumbled on dieting approach that is the "supreme zone" of weight loss for me. I am not hungry or stressed. This is crazy because I have spent the last 20 years Hungry and Stressed it seems!! So, I am experiencing a psycho-euphoria right now. I feel strongly I have systematically worked through my own body roadblocks to weight loss.

- I have been narrowly focused on eating well before 4pm, late enough in the day that I don't get hungry at night, which basically makes sure there are no calories in my system before falling asleep.

- Condensing my feeding window to 12-4pm only, it is hard to force yourself to eat over 3000 calories in that short amount of time. This ensures you keep your calories between 1500-2000 kcals.

- Taking my 4grams of CLA each morning before 10am. I take it early cause they will give you energy plus it aides the release of fatty acids from the fat cells.

- Drinking 8-10 cups of water; burning large amounts of fat cell acids through Intermittent Fasting creates a lot of free radicals that need to be washed out and water keeps you full.

- Keeping carbs below 10-20 grams a day ensures that the insulin levels drop faster once you end your eating stage. Weight loss will only occur when insulin levels are very low. Once the insulin drops and no more calories are in your system then your body must get calories from your fat cells. To open those cells the body releases human growth hormone to open the cells. Fasting increases HGH.

- Sleeping at least 8-9 hours a night, the body releases HGH after a minimum of 6-7 hours of sleep. The deeper and longer you sleep the more HGH is released. the more HGH that is released the more fatty acids that are released from fat cells, the more you lose.

- Ensuring the fasting period is zero carbs and zero calories is important so that my insulin drops low to ensure HGH is released.

- Fasting a minimum of 18 hours and maximum of 36 hours; the shorter the fasting period the less weight lost. At the 36th hour, HGH seems to drop considerably. The greatest amount of weight occurs daily when you harness the most HGH release potency part of combining both sleeping and fasting. With my last meal at 4pm and not eating again until 12noon the next day, I am averaging a 20 hour fast daily.

The next stage will be to incorporate walking first thing in the morning while still in the fasting state. This will give one last major boost in HGH secretions for the day.
