angie1973's Journal, 10 April 2008

I had a terrible motivation day today. First, I didn't excersise, then I ate horribly. I only had 1 serving at both lunch and dinner but I bet I've gained because of it. It's so hard to been "good" all the time. One of the things that is tough for me is before I had my daughter I could eat anything and not gain anything. But a good friend of mine said since I'm 34 my metabolic rate has slowed down. Plus I believed having children changes your body too. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. I'll try again.

There is indeed always tomorrow, but I think that so long as the bad days don't out-weigh the good one's then it doesn't do us any major harm to have the odd naughty day once in a while. I've had 3 this week! But then guess counteracted it with exercise... so perhaps do some extra exercise tomorrow to burn those calories off. Although looking at your calorie intake showing above here, it doesn't look really bad or anything. Don't forget you've also got those flex points to play with to... so you can make up for it another day if you really have gone way over points. You've done great so far though... so just keep up the great work. ;o)

Thanks for your support,I read your bio you are amazing! How do you get and keep your kind of willpower? I follow WW system but I haven't been to meetings in over a year. My thought on this is; the plan is great it works,I've got all the materials so all I would be doing there is getting weighed and of course support. I can weigh myself at home and this site's support is so much better,so I'll just save the money.

Aw, thank you! :o) I guess the willpower and determination all comes in time... we've all got to start somewhere and I was at that starting point back in September. But I guess I came here and read lots of journals... then thought well if others can do it... so can I! The first few weeks were the hardest, but then as those pounds started dropping off, then clothes getting looser came the realisation that this really was possible. I guess I've used this site as my "WW meeting"... as you probably read, I've not ever been to one. But so far, so good and you can really do this by visiting this site. So just keep visiting and focus on one day at a time. I've found it really good to join in the site challenges... there's one going on at the moment called Around the World in 42 Days and we're just into week 3 of 6. But in the future you might like to join in one of the new one's. :o)

I agree with you angie1973 about the website. My wife laughs at me because I am addicted. I too don't go to the meetings. My wife got started and I just jumped on in with her. The support here is awesome!!
