I am a 51 year old retired nurse. (Forced, due to Rheumatoid Arthritis) I have battled weight as far back as I can remember. I have lost large amounts of weight here and there and then fall back into my old habits. It is especially difficult to exercise because of the arthritis but I keep trying to find ways to increase the amount of activity that I do every day. I need to lose the weight for my joints and just to be healthy. My husband is diabetic and needed to lose weight and chose the slimfast plan. So I just follow along. I dont necessarily use the slimfast everyday, but it is my go to when I dont know what I want or when I want that chocolate fix. I basically count calories and use this website for tracking and motivation. We started the first week in January and I have went from 222 to 207 pounds since.
Updated May 2, 2009- the picture is from June 2004 at my highest weight of 284. When I got to 184 I had my DH snap this picture. I have hated this picture but now I am glad I have it to remind me where I have been and where I am going.
