I am a 46 year old female, home based business owner. I have tried dieting before but when I reach a "comfortable" weight place approximately 20lbs I usually sidetrack off my diet.

I am not a high impact excerciser but walking and other activities I do on a regular daily routine. I find counting calories is much easier then any of those other diet plans, calories are calories.

My daughter is getting married next July 2013 and hope to be at my goal weight of 145-150.

Dear Baxie, if you go to or there are several and the price ranges are from 3.00 upto 99.00 "Fitbit" is on the expensive side but works i think the best, Sportsline is cheaper and works well also I have used the pedometer download from "Beth Isreal deaconess Medical Center" Android download.(Smartphone download).

I know many people do not like the smarphone downloads as they say they are inaccurate. Put the phone in your pocket there are tips on the download of making the pedometer accurate.

It is great as a guide to help push your motivation just a little bit more.

Diet Soda - HELP
Can someone answer a question for me, I drink my 64 oz of water a day plus drink two decaf teas a day after I drink my water I treat myself to a diet soda. I do NOT drink alcohol. Everyone is giving me a hard time about drinking the diet soda? Is it really that awful for me with my above daily habit? Please let me know

Do you record EVERYTHING you do all day long?
Dear Baxie, it might be an idea to invest in a pedometer, this will allow you to record your steps you take during the day. They say 10,000 steps = approximately 4 miles. Also this type of walking is leisure walking. Good Luck
