I turned 41 Jan 2015. I first joined FS in 2010...And it has taken me a VERY long time to buy into the exercise less and and eat more. Sound crazy? Maybe...I am following IIFYM. Google it. For the first time in my life I'm eating whatever I want pretty much whenever I want though I'm taking my cycle into account to vary it slightly. The main thing is hitting at least 100g of protein and 30 to 40g of fiber from FOOD! I'm eating tons of carbs...some good, some not so good and lots of fat...I try and get over 50g a day. I feel great and I'm actually dropping. I just started this change Oct of 2014. Now I'm mad I didn't trust myself enought to do it before. For the first time I've increased my calories from 1900 to 2000 to slow my rate of loss. Update....March 9, 2015...I'm still wowed by my progress despite severe hormonal issues. To all of your embarking on a new journey or simply trying to stay on track...DON'T STOP TRACKING....LOG EVERYTHING...especially beverages. Weighing myself daily helps ME but may not be the thing for YOU. I do it to monitor what normal fluctuations are but I also take into account the crazy roller coaster effects of my cycle. But also be easy on yourself and remember stress reduction and sleep are paramount. Don't starve yourselves...just eat sensibly...and if you pay attention, your body will talk to you. Some days you'll want more protein, some days you'll need more carbs or fats. Your body will let you know which carbs feel the best in the form of toleranc/intolerance and gas issues haha! Don't forget to enjoy the ride. We are on this journey for LIFE!
