Was diagnosed with cancer in September 2010, that was the first year I was consistently overweight. After my diagnosis, I set out to lose the extra pounds and regain my health and succeeded in large part to FatSecret keeping me accountable with my food & exercise! But following that achievement, while I stayed cancer-free I grew less motivated and pretty much stopped exercising. I realize one pitfall was only having a goal of reaching a certain weight. Now, my only goal is to keep building habits that will enrich my daily life and pay off in the long run for my health & happiness.

One thing I really need to work on is reducing stress, or avoiding it entirely. I know regular exercise and staying focused on my healthy habits will help me to stay "out of my head" and do what is best for me mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Hi, sorry if this is a duplicate but I didn't want to keep paging through all the previous posts... Does the forum search not work anymore, or is there a trick to making it work? Whenever I try to search for any word or phrase, I come up with zero results. Thanks!

Go to "My FatSecret," then "My Toolbox" and click on "My Settings." This brings up the page "My Account-Change Settings." The option to change weight and height measurements is under the heading "Change your Preferences."

Cal's Breakdown/Pie Chart & RDI %
If I understand correctly, the daily food diary breakdown/total only applies to a specific date, the monthly view includes an average of all the days recorded for that month. Yours looks correct to me, at least for calories... added together and divided by the 8 days entered so far, it equals FatSecret's "Daily Average Calorie Info." I like comparing the daily pie chart to the monthly pie chart; if I fall short of my protein goal or eat too much fat one day, I can see how that affects my average and adjust as needed going forward.

High Protein Lower-Fat Options (Using whole, real foods)
Great timing on this, thanks! I will be eating the whole egg though Smile It seems to me there isn't enough fat there to fuss over; if an egg is what pushes me over the edge, then I was eating too much fat already.
