Was diagnosed with cancer in September 2010, that was the first year I was consistently overweight. After my diagnosis, I set out to lose the extra pounds and regain my health and succeeded in large part to FatSecret keeping me accountable with my food & exercise! But following that achievement, while I stayed cancer-free I grew less motivated and pretty much stopped exercising. I realize one pitfall was only having a goal of reaching a certain weight. Now, my only goal is to keep building habits that will enrich my daily life and pay off in the long run for my health & happiness.

One thing I really need to work on is reducing stress, or avoiding it entirely. I know regular exercise and staying focused on my healthy habits will help me to stay "out of my head" and do what is best for me mentally, physically, and emotionally.

I was curious to see how my "own diet" lined up with my current macro goals, but I can't find how to view or edit my existing diet anymore. I just see choices for starting a new published or publicly shared diet. Any suggestions?

Suggestions for people who need to gain weight
Thanks for all the replies! Wish there was a way to have FS send notifications ONLY on forum posts-- missed them all until now because I was sick of getting emails on everything. She is now on an eating plan with her doctor so things are slowly getting better... i think part of it is, she has always been restrictive in her eating and it seems to make her anxious to eat more, period. She does say she gets full too quickly (like after one banana) but that seems to be dimisishing somewhat.

You might want to request help using the "Contact" link. It looks like your diet calendar starts in Jan 2014, and your weight history and journal entries start in Feb 2014. I've had the same account since 2010 and all of my journal entries are still here... did you ever have a different username?

Suggestions for people who need to gain weight
Hi, just looking for recommendations for easy, nutritious meals or snacks for someone who needs to gain weight, who is also a CRAZY-picky eater. Just spent some time visiting a retired relative who eats an incredibly bland, empty-calorie and unvaried diet (along the lines of hospital, airline, or school cafeteria food) and I'm now wondering if this person is going to waste away before long due to eating so poorly.

This person is also very rigid and does not take advice from anyone, so I don't expect great changes, but just trying to brainstorm here... feel like they are at the beginning of a steep downhill slide, which is scary. It's also been a good reminder to keep working on varying my diet and keeping it nutrient-dense, which really fell off during this visit.
