Was diagnosed with cancer in September 2010, that was the first year I was consistently overweight. After my diagnosis, I set out to lose the extra pounds and regain my health and succeeded in large part to FatSecret keeping me accountable with my food & exercise! But following that achievement, while I stayed cancer-free I grew less motivated and pretty much stopped exercising. I realize one pitfall was only having a goal of reaching a certain weight. Now, my only goal is to keep building habits that will enrich my daily life and pay off in the long run for my health & happiness.
One thing I really need to work on is reducing stress, or avoiding it entirely. I know regular exercise and staying focused on my healthy habits will help me to stay "out of my head" and do what is best for me mentally, physically, and emotionally.
