New to the diet...
I read somewhere that your body can go into Ketosis (according to Wikipedia- a state in metabolism occurring when the liver excessively converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies which can be used by the body for energy) when you consume between 20-30 carbs per day. Do you need to do this to be successful with South Beach? I understand that the premises of the diet is to consume lean meats and veggies, and drastically reduce carbs... I've been doing that, feel great, but, I did my food journal and I ate 36 carbs today. Is that an okay amount? I'm probably just obsessing but I want to make sure I'm doing this right!!!
