I had my first son on Sept 9, 2007. I have lost about 56 lbs over the past 4 years and I'm very proud of that. However I would like to continue to lose weight so that I will be healthy for my son. I want to be with him for a long time and run around with him.

My problem is that I think about food ALL the time. I thought this site might be good to help me find people to befriend who can help me find things to do besides eat and think about eating.

I like to take walks and play with my son. I have an college accounting diploma. I enjoy a wide variety of television shows and movies, although I haven't had time to watch much lately.

SUN-E-BEACHERS *YELLOW TEAM* FOR THE BEACH CHALLENGE
Well I started off the week pretty slowly but I did better as it went on. I've lost 4 pounds since starting! I started this challenge just as I was starting my diet again so I think it's beginner's loss. Smile
Going to stay positive and keep up the weight loss. Smile I have a wedding reception tonight, I'm going to eat light during the day so that I can enjoy the dinner. Wink

SUN-E-BEACHERS *YELLOW TEAM* FOR THE BEACH CHALLENGE
Hi, I'm Teri.
I'm 26 and I live in Ontario, Canada. I have a 10 month old son, Robbie, with my soul mate/boyfriend, Charles. I'm still on maternity leave until September! YAY...but that means I have to start looking for a job. BOO

My banned excuse is: If I start to workout, Robbie will just interrupt me.

Instead, I will start a habit of doing active things a lot throughout the day with my son, and once a day, while he's napping I will do a heavy workout.

Today I'm giving myself a 4 because I did a lot of activity with Robbie. We went for a walk and did about a million laps around the house. We also kicked a ball around and I carried/swung him a lot. However, he didn't take a long enough nap. He usually sleeps for about 2 hours in the afternoon but today he woke up after a half an hour and no matter what I did he couldn't get back to sleep. However, there's still time, if I can get my studying done soon I'll try to do some yoga before bed. Smile

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
My banned excuse is 'my son will interupt my workouts' and instead I will either workout while he naps or do active stuff with him. I think I'll have to give myself a 3 today. We went for a walk but I had a nap with him instead of pushing myself to do a workout. However, I have a feeling from now on I'll be giving myself a higher tally for being more active with him because he took his first independent steps today and he LOVED it. It was very exciting! My boyfriend and I chased after him for quite a few laps around the living room!! Very Happy

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
My excuses are: I have too much to do and my son will interrupt me if I try to exercise at home, plus I will get really hot and sweaty and I can't shower if my son is awake.

My Habit: Relax about what I have to do. Exercise will be higher on my to-do list. Take walks with my son to relax, I will plan more high energy activities so that I run around with my son to exercise. Do yoga/exercise tapes while my son is napping. Step up and down on a step when my son is distracted with his toys and just pause when he wants to play. Exercise close to his nap time so that I can shower while he's napping. Or exercise and shower at night after he's gone to bed.

I have a lot of ideas on how to avoid my excuses and establish a habit...the problem is following through with my ideas. Smile
