I'm 24 and I've struggled with my weight forever.

In a nutshell, I was pretty seriously obese as a child but at the age of 11 I learned what calories were and lost ~40lb on weight watchers. My weight crept up during my teens and I reached >200lb in high school. Luckily, I discovered the Atkins diet and I lost a good amount of weight. But of course, I got sick of the diet and stopped. My weight was fine for the beginning of college because I was very active. In the last two years, however, I spent all my time working and studying and eating burritos... When I graduated, I tried losing the weight by working out rigorously ~6 hours/week and watching my calories, but it never worked. Finally, spring 2010 on the verge of 200lb, I realized that the last successful diet I did was Atkins.

I have been trying to follow the lifestyle since 03/2010 and have lost ~30lb. I had great success in the beginning, losing between 1-4 lb/week for the first 4 months, but I have been bouncing around at this weight (160-170) ever since.

Yummy filling Atkins lunch for Induction!
I often eat my dinner leftovers for lunch, or just a salad with grilled chicken. I also like to make deli meat roll-ups. They're easy and reminiscent of a sandwich without the badness of the bun. Sometimes I use deli chicken, swiss cheese, mayo, cucumbers, and grape tomatoes. I've also made them with salami, cream cheese, and celery. There are a lot of options!

Making Turkey after 20 years, please help :/
I would highly recommend Alton Brown's "Romancing the Bird" recipe (food network). http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-recipe/index.html

Basically you brine the turkey over night, stuff it with aromatics instead of stuffing, bake it at 500 for 30 minutes to crisp the skin, then cover the breast and cook it at a lower temp to keep it juicy. I've used this recipe for the past 5 years and it definitely makes a delicious bird! I never used to like white meat but now it's my favorite and many people have asked for my recipe. Also, the drippings are so flavorful that you barely need to add anything to make gravy. I can't wait for Thanksgiving! Good luck!

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED
For me, the Atkins diet has been the only thing that has tamed (not cured) my binge eating. I still have binge days once in a while, but it doesn't happen nearly as often. One reason low carb diets work to control binge eating is because it keeps your blood sugar and energy level stable, which stops cravings and the pattern of high=>crash after eating refined sugars/carbs. Also, even though your choices are restricted, the fact that you're free to eat as much as you want until you are satisfied stopped me from feeling deprived all day, which used to lead to night time binges. This mind set also helped me gradually quit smoking because I often used cigarettes as a replacement for food. Good luck!

skin skin and more skin
Kudos to you for losing so much weight! My fiance has also lost about 120 lbs. We started Atkins 2.5 years ago and he lost most of the weight in the first 9 months. In the past almost 2 years his weight has been mostly the same, a little up and down, but he has been looking better and better. I think is body has just been taking a while to get used to the weight loss. I also think exercise is important.

I guess I didn't consider that we're pretty young (25) so maybe it won't work for older people. If so, I have heard that you can get your insurance to cover some cosmetic surgeries if it is making you depressed or something (I've heard of someone who got a tummy tuck after having a baby and it was covered by insurance). Good luck!
