I'm 24 and I've struggled with my weight forever.
In a nutshell, I was pretty seriously obese as a child but at the age of 11 I learned what calories were and lost ~40lb on weight watchers. My weight crept up during my teens and I reached >200lb in high school. Luckily, I discovered the Atkins diet and I lost a good amount of weight. But of course, I got sick of the diet and stopped. My weight was fine for the beginning of college because I was very active. In the last two years, however, I spent all my time working and studying and eating burritos... When I graduated, I tried losing the weight by working out rigorously ~6 hours/week and watching my calories, but it never worked. Finally, spring 2010 on the verge of 200lb, I realized that the last successful diet I did was Atkins.
I have been trying to follow the lifestyle since 03/2010 and have lost ~30lb. I had great success in the beginning, losing between 1-4 lb/week for the first 4 months, but I have been bouncing around at this weight (160-170) ever since.
