I've been overweight for most of my life, so I'm pretty used to these bi-yearly attempts at dieting. For so long I always had the mindset of, 'It's going to happen this year' and when I ended up sabotaging myself, I went back with, 'Oh, I'll do it next year.' Most of the time, I just gave up when I didn't see results fast enough and, as a girl with a much thinner, athletic sister, it was difficult to get motivated. I've been luckier than most people, though: I've managed to dodge most of the major health problems associated with obesity, but as I get older I feel like I'm starting to walk a fine line and I don't want to keep procrastinating until it's too late and I'm beyond over feeling tired and sluggish and so much older than I am.
So...without further ado, let the downsizing begin.
