Atkins low carb/healthy, clean eating is my way of life. I love it. I've lost 24.5 lbs. My belly is way smaller and was the first thing I really noticed changing, and I've lost about 12 all-over inches so far! I'm in OWL on Atkins and kinda pre-maintenance. Weight loss stalled a while back, so I know how to do maintenanc! I started fooling around with calories during the stall and lowering the calories and really watching portion sizes helped me take off more lbs. I'm committed to logging my food. I use my calories wisely with healthy foods. I don't beat myself up, usually, if I go way off plan, but I sure feel better when I stay on plan. I had put back on about 5 lbs and felt like a toad and could see it in my belly size. Once back on plan and eating healthier, I lost a few and my belly. My partner could see a difference. This WOE is just such a reward to myself. I have a couple more to take off to get back to my lowest, and I'm doing it. I do make some fantastic low-carb, sugar-free desserts, thanks to the many folks out there with their web sites and recipes! Thank you!
We have made this plan something we can life with for the rest of our lives. I appreciate FatSecret for providing us a place to log food and exercise (Thank you so much for the updates on the site!!!), chat, support, motivate, and be supported and motivated.

oops!
Congrats on the 8 lbs! I've lost 23; I've been on Atkins over 2 years; I log food almost everyday. It helped me lose the last 5, and I'm confident I'll lose the next lbs. by logging food and tracking calories, carbs, etc.
Like you, it's easy, WAY TOO EASY, to eat more calories, bigger portions, snack...
I'll keep logging food. It's just what I do now.

Weight loss pills
I was type 2 diabetic on 2 meds several years ago. I age low-glycemic w/in the diabetic range for how many carbs allowed each meal. I lost 80 lbs. and got off both meds during this time. With age and slower metabolism, some weight was gained. I feel that Atkins is one of the BEST for diabetes as you drastically cut carbs (sugar) and eat super healthy. I'm working to keep myself from ever being diabetic again that natural way. I rarely have any cravings. If I do, I have a small amount of what I want and get back on plan. I'm exercising more than ever and I feel fantastic.
I wish you the best with this. Diabetes is an awful disease, aging your cells and damaging so much of the body. Good for you for taking charge!

So discouraged!
Going for a walk this morning. May get in a run, or do it tomorrow. Watching everything I eat...no weight change. I'm bummed! 20 lbs. off and the progress just stopped! It's been about 7 months. Age! It's all about age and hormones! Ugh!!!
