atkins induction calorie question
You have to get your calories up!! You can have a perfect 60/30/10 on your pie chart whether you ate 300 calories or 2000. Now if it's your appetite holding you back, then pick foods that pack more of a caloric punch, like beef, coconut oil, flaxseed muffins, mayonaise, eggs... Ketosis isn't always about the nasty breath (though it is the most annoying)... Basically, if your carbs are under 50 grams for the day, you're in. Other symptoms besides the rank breath are lots of energy, frequent urination, thirst, loss of appetite. Feel free to add me as a buddy

Any one else need to lose the equivalent of another human being?
I started at 330 and am looking to go down to 190 or lower. I'm short but I'm built like a truck and when I was at 130 (first year in HS) I looked like starvin marvin
So I'm aiming for a 140 pound loss, which is 6 pounds more than my Mom weighs, or about the same as my 11 year old and soon to be 5 year old. Yeah I'd say I'm definitely far more cranky and irritable than I've ever been, but dang wouldn't you be if you were carrying around a whole other person on your bones? LOL. So I started Atkins on Jan 28th and I'm already down 25 pounds and have noticed a huge improvement in the depression that never seemed to want to lift. Sure I still get cranky (it is my nature), but I find myself doling out the smiles now a heck of a lot faster.

Going to bed a little hungry
Why go to bed hungry? Eating right before hopping into bed always bothered my stomach, but going to bed hungry always gave me a rough sleep. Better choices is the key! Choose something that is not going to wreak havoc on your sugar levels and falls into the guidelines of the diet you're following. You shouldn't have to go to bed feeling uncomfortable.
