29 years old and my goal over 1 year ago was to lose all the weight I needed to before 30. 30 is coming in October...so I am running out of time for that initial goal. I did Weight Watchers last year from April 2017 to October 2017. I was down 48 lbs, and only about 38 lbs from my ultimate goal of 150. My mom passed away in October after a horrible battle with colorectal cancer. The loss took it's toll and I gained about 30 of those lbs back by stress eating, comfort eating, eating for convenience, and not being active enough. I am determined to not be derailed again. This time, I am focused on a way of eating that is sustainable, as I do not feel I could maintain the WW way of eating for life. I see a registered dietitian every two weeks to help keep me on track.

I focus on a Mediterranean way of eating (lots of veggies, fruits, lean protein, good fats) with a bit of America flair thrown in (I can't give up any one food- restrictions are not sustainable).

My husband and I are also trying to get pregnant. Weight loss and healthy eating will only help that. This has also been stressful, as I just want it to happen already. All good things take time.
