My name is John; I am 60 years old, husband, father of three, grandfather of five. I have probably lost the equivalent of my body weight over the years (and, of course, gained it all back). I can lose weight, but have historically been horrible at maintenance once I meet my goal weight. I first tried Atkins about 15 years ago; 10 years ago it was LA Weight Loss. I started my current weight loss effort using Weight Watchers in January of 2013, but switched over to calorie counting, as I found it easier (and more in line with the tools on this website). Using this website and increasing my activity has allowed me to lose over 60 lbs. I have been maintaining for just over two years as of 8/17/15. I don't ever say I am "dieting"; instead, I am just trying to live a healthy lifestyle. I indulge occasionally (sometimes in a big way), but get right back with the program.

You are correct - diameters of the fruit in those ranges in inches make the determination of small, medium or large.

Activity Trackers - UP3 Jawbone, Fitbit Charge HR or Surge, Polar A360 or Loop2
Hi Tina - I have a Fitbit Charge HR that I have been using for about 8 months. I have had good luck with it, and I would recommend it for what you are looking for in an activity tracker. From your list of "wants" I would mention that it does not have alarms on the heart rate zones; however, it does track the zones, and you can see the 24 hour graph on a free, smart-phone application. It does track sleep patterns and notifies you of times "awake" and times "restless", as well as sleep time. When I first got my Charge HR it required you to push and hold a button to activate the exercise mode. A recent update now makes that automatic. I have used it on a treadmill and on an elliptical, and it even listed the activities correctly (running and elliptical). You can set up the Fitbit to show the time with either a flick of your wrist or a quick tap to the screen. I will tell you that I wear it in addition to my regular watch, simply because my watch face is easier for me to see. Overall - very good experience with the Charge HR.

how to manually add nutrional information for a food
Yes - go into the program as if you were inputting food that you had eaten. Type in "Protein Powder" - You will see "+ Add Food" below the search table. Click on that, and it will take you to where you can manually enter the nutrition information.
