I am 59 years old, husband, father of three, grandfather of five. I have probably lost the equivalent of my body weight over the years (and, of course, gained it all back). I can lose weight, but am horrible at maintenance once I meet my goal weight. I first tried Atkins about 10 years ago; six years ago it was LA Weight Loss. I started my current weight loss effort using Weight Watchers, but switched over to calorie counting, as I found it easier (and more in line with the tools on this website). Using this website and increasing my activity has allowed me to lose 60lbs in the past year. I have been maintaining for just under six months as of 1/1/14.
