What was your turning point?
My turning point was when I eloped with my (now) husband a few months ago. My best friend was taking pictures of us...and when she sent them...I deleted them immediately. I never realized how big I looked to other people. I knew I was chunkier then I had ever been but...I was disgusted with myself. From that point on, I said that this time next year I needed to look the way I wanted MYSELF to look so I can have a real wedding and wedding reception (for the renewal of vows). I know it won't be easy...but Im determined!

Transitioning from Atkins to Weight Watchers, Please help!
You all are so awesome. You've convinced me to stay on Atkins. I'm working against a medication that makes me hungry so I think switching to low cal will just screw me up big time. Im buddying all of you!!!!

I'd love to be your Atkins buddy. I think thats what I need most of all. I'm very strict about my diets (I guess that comes from formerly having an eating disorder), but due to absolutely no support around me, I've had a few slip ups. Not horrible ones, but slip ups nonetheless. With actual support maybe it will be easier. I almost lost it the other day because my hubby ate freaking reeses cups right in front of me. The nerve!

Transitioning from Atkins to Weight Watchers, Please help!
Ok, to be honest..I was afraid of even posting this because the last time I saw a post on here similar to this one...a girl practically got her head bit off from die-hard low carbers. I just want a bit more information on a good and healthy lifestyle. So please..pretty please be nice...I get no support from home so I need to make friends on here. Very Happy

So my question is...Has anyone transitioned from Atkins to Weight Watchers? I've been on induction for probably 2 3/4 months..and I know..you're supposed to stop after 4 weeks but I have a crap ton of weight to lose. Like...150lbs+. So far I've lost about 27lbs which is great but I want to know if switching (Im just contemplating it and getting all the facts before I do so) will make me gain all the weight back. I just need to know which is better for me to lose that weight and keep it off legitimately. Im actually pretrified of getting off of atkins to try weight watchers and then having all of my hard work crumble. Everytime I go to a doctor before I even mention to them that Im on atkins they always suggest Weight Watchers.
