I am married to a wonderful man and the mother of 2 beautiful children. I turned 30 in 2010 (weighing 252lbs) and decided I was tired of being fat. I work full time and sitting at a desk all day enabled me to be lazy. Now I'm trying to educate myself and make a lifestyle change. I know it will not happen overnight, but slowly I will get there.

Since it's almost impossible to get nutrition info from most restaurants I estimate it by what's on my plate. You'll have to adjust this for what your restaurant serves, but mine usually looks like 4oz chicken, 1/2 lg tomato, onion & bell pepper. I also add 1 Tbsp of veg oil, since I assume they added some kind of fat to cook it all.
Using the food diary on here that comes out to
cals: 309kcal | fat: 15.39g | carbs: 14.95g | prot: 28.38g Fiber 3.5g and NC 11.45g

most of the carbs are from the onions

I usually get fajitas, my local restaurant serves it in a skillet. just meat, peppers, onions & tomatoes (all Atkins safe) with tortillas on the side. skip the tortillas and any rice, beans and chips.

I finally got my husband to try HCl capsules instead of the zantac and it really does work. He usually takes 2 with dinner, but he can also take them after the heartburn first starts and they work in about 20 min.

I also second the gluten & low carb suggestions, it's always worse if he has pasta, a lot of bread or pizza.

bring up your Food Diary page, scroll all the way to the bottom, under the pie chart click on Set your Recommended Daily Intake

Minus 35 today in Toronto....Sitting by my Fireplace and.......
I'm in Ohio, minus 7 when I got up. The high today is 4. My weather sounds like a heatwave compared to yours!
