I am a 25 year old female with an almost 9 year old son...still "trying" to work off that baby fat. Well, I guess I have come to the realization that "trying" does not work when you aren't trying anything. Pretending to watch what you eat at work then binge when you get home is not cutting it.
I was fairly active as a teen...but then gave it all up after I had my son. I stayed at my post-baby weight for a few years til I started my new job about 6 years ago and have put on about 20 lbs since...since I only sit at a desk. Then the obvious putting on of the weight made me self-concious so I don't like going to the gym and having people "watch" me workout, I don't even like my son or his dad watching me play the Wii. So...what's a girl to do??? I try to hurry and get some sort of physical activity in before my son's dad gets home from work...but I don't want to have to feel like that. Ugh!!!
So here I am...starting off watching what I shove in my mouth, conciously making better decisions, not eating so late at night, portion control and working on NOT binging when I get home from work.
I am hoping that having a visual reminder of what my intake is will help.

Not sure what workout regimen to do???
Ok thanks! I keep going back and forth with working out/not working out. I am having a hard time getting into the swing of things, I'm sure which is pretty normal for a beginner. What would you suggest of how much I should do of each?

Not sure what workout regimen to do???
I am 145, want to lose 20. I DO have a workout room in my apt building which has 4 elipticals, a bike and weights. I know cardio is a big thing, but not sure if I should just stick with the eliptical as my cardio or incorporate some of the other machines as well. Any suggestions???
