I have had isues with my weight since I was 9 years old. To be honest, my mother is the one who first had the issue with it, and managed to somehow get me prescription appetite suppresants. I know this really messed up my metabolism and ever since I've lost and gained thousands of pounds over the years. I finally gave up trying to lose weight when I hit 350 lbs in 1995, figuring I was going to gain weight anyway, so why bother trying to lose it.

By just eating what I wanted, when I wanted, I managed to lose 50 lbs over the past 13 years without trying at all. I think it's safe to say that my metabolism has finally evened out and it's time to focus. So here I am, trying again, following what I think is the best diet... low fat, high vegetables and keeping track of everything.

I'm taking small steps in my weight loss. My first goal is to be 250 lbs by April 13, 2009, 200 lbs by September 23, 2009. My long term goal is to be 150 that I'm hoping to reach by September 2010, but I know that last 50 lbs is going to be the most difficult.

I'm hoping I can stick with it this time... my husband is a big source of support. He loves me even though I'm big, but wants me to be around for as long as possible, which means I need to get healthy.
