Starting over with my highest weight ever and the most depressed ever.
I am working hard on my eating. I was not eating actual food, I was eating junk food all day, everyday. It's been a hard year and I used food for comfort. Now I'm paying for it!! Good Luck to everyone on this site in your adventure to get healthy. :) I'm an expert at losing weight, but also an expert at gaining it back. I need to stick to eating healthy for life to maintain instead of working my ass off to lose for many months only to give up and eat like a cow. The weight comes back faster than it leaves.

Bowel Movements
I have always been that way. I only get relief every 3-5 days and it still doesn't seem to be enough. I have IBS but have never had thyroid checked. I want to but completely petrified of needles. If I eat TONS and I do mean tons of broccoli, cabbage etc, then it works but I am not going to eat that daily. I've bought stool softeners, they don't work for me. I won't use any laxatives because the pain for someone with IBS is horrible, so much cramping. My weight has been stuck to the exact amt for 10 days now. Not an ounce up or down, which to me makes no sense at all. I'm sitting here now cramping horribly with no relief. (my friend, who is also trying to lose a few lbs, calls and tells me she lost 3 lbs.. why? because she ate 5 exlax the night before. She gets mad when I tell her that she didn't actually lose fat. As soon as she eats, of course it comes right back)

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
so eddie1261 if you were a person (me) who only empties their colon every 3-5 days then I'm a mess right LOL It drives me batty but I've always been this way.

What would you tell your 16 year old self?
I would tell myself to not let people walk all over me, open your mouth and say something. Also to think things through before you make huge mistakes and can't take them back. And of course, eat healthy and love yourself.

Discouraged
Sometimes people have problems with the Atkin bars, too much cheese. I don't know why but ham slows me down. Chicken, eggs and fish always made me lose the most. It's so different now with them wanting you to eat so much fat. I didn't and I lost quite well. I don't do Atkins anymore for a couple reasons. I don't like meat much and every time I did Atkins I lost fast and then gained it back fast with more weight then when I started.

Does anyone's allowed calories seem off?
You can change it. I can't remember how because the site has changed since I changed mine. But yeah, mine was way too high too.
