I am ready to change the way I eat and look at food. Up until now I have not used food for body fuel, but rather to mask other emotional issues. I am happy now and I want that to show in the way that I take care of myself. I am 46 and have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and arthritis. I was put on permanent disability a year ago for my ankle. I need ankle fusion surgery, and all of this extra weight has made the pain much worse. I am determined to get most of my extra weight off, and then work on the rest. I know it won't be easy, but I want it badly. Here's to a great year for all of us who struggle with our weight! : )
