I am turning 27 later this year. I have been over 200 for at least five years now. I don't know when I got there, I could say it did sneak up on me but, I just did not care at the time. My highest weight was 261 in February of this year. I have a family that just does not care what weight I am, they love me no matter what. However, I am tired of hurting all the time, not being able to shop in 'normal' stores, and not having the energy to keep up with my kids. So here I am, I know I will need help and small goals are the way to go. My over all goal is to get down to 155, like everyone I wish for it to be overnight, but I am ready for the work I know it will take.

Goal one: Get under 200, hopefully by the end of this year.

Arrgghhh plateau help!!
A word on the 'spike day' thing. Some times you have to do this for two or three days for your body to realize that it is not starving. This is not to say disregard you diet all together but, it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to recalculate your daily intake of calories and actually try to eat all your calories for a few days, then go back to your deficit.

Not enough calories
Protein will help get your count up so long as it is lean.

Protein Rich foods ?
I eat a lot of meat, mostly extra lean white meat with a little red thrown in for iron (I'm anemic). My doctor told me to eat high protein and lower carbs, she told me to try to keep my carbs at half to one third of my protein intake.

Low Cal Salad Recipes?
I don't know where you live or what will be available there but, Litehouse dressings are good and low calorie. One of my favorite is Pear Gorgonzola, if you like fruit they have a bunch of Vinaigrettes. And most of them go perfectly with the different salads, spring mix, spinach, everything. Hope this helps.

Feeling AWFUL after exercising
I feel the same way, quite often. I have a headache, nausea and feel generally yucky after working out. The thing that works best for me is taking a shower immediately after. If I take a cold shower it seems to alleviate the feeling like my heart is trying to pound out my ears, and the sick feelings. And it works for me if I eat some protein soon after getting done. Hope it helps you as much as it does me. Very Happy
