53 Yr old male, previously very active, retired from military four years ago after 30 years service. Work out regularly but it is hard to stay motivated without a goal so I am now preparing for my first Spartan Sprint in Oct 2017. I will also look to reduce fat while maintaining or gaining muscle mass. I hope to finish above average in my first sprint and look to improve from there. Interested in others stories about their first adventure race (ie, Spartan, mud run, etc)and experience.

Protein Shakes
I drink protein everyday, I mix it a couple of teaspoons of Café Bustelo instant espresso. Works well with both chocolate and vanilla protein and is a great way to start the day.
