Hi, my name is Amber.
I'm Texas born and raised, and definitely pround of it.
I started my diet last year as my 2009 New Year's resolution. Though for the first couple of months I didn't get real serious with it until I got out of school for summer. I started my diet weighing in at 220lbs. and have lost about 75lbs. since then. Even though my original goal was only set at losing 30lbs. I changed it a couple of times. I finally settled with my goal of having a healthy BMI, rather than just an exact weight. I am happy to say that I went from a size 16 to a size 6 in just one year's time, but I couldn't have done it without the help of my mom.
As of the beginning of this year (2010) I have unofficially gone of maintenance to keep the weight off. I still plan to record my calories every day, and plan to do so possibly for the rest of my life, or until I just decide not to do it anymore. I plan to start exercising more to try and remove the rest of the flab from my body and tone out.
As of right now, I am helping my dad lose weight in the same fashion that I have. If anyone has questions about my dieting and exercising, feel free to ask, as long as its not too personal. Because of my dieting journey, I have even taken interest of looking into being a dietician, though nothing is certain yet.
